Structure and Leadership

As a member-based, community-driven organization, Sano Paila's governance structure encompasses a Plenary Meeting/General Assembly, an elected Governing Board, an Advisory Board, an Auditor, and a Senior Management Committee, as outlined in the organization's constitution. Working committees are formed as needed by the Plenary Meeting and the Governing Board.

Sano Paila's dedicated team comprises professionals from diverse backgrounds and ethnic groups, including social work, public health, business, law, media, education, community development, and advocacy. Board members and employees are selected for their diversity, specialized skills, experience, regional knowledge, and community acceptance. They embody and promote gender equality and inclusion.

Non-discrimination and gender equity are rigorously maintained throughout all organizational processes, from board elections and staff selection to consultant hiring, training facilitation, and participant targeting. This commitment is reflected in the composition of the governing board and the employee base, which mirror the diversity of the communities served and exemplify Sano Paila's core value of inclusiveness. The team's knowledge, diverse perspectives, and understanding of cultural and historical variables are crucial in program design, implementation, and evaluation.
