Environmental Sustainability
Sano Paila is a staunch advocate for environmental sustainability, actively collaborating with government agencies and civil society organizations to implement impactful programs.
Recently, with the support of a GIZ grant, Sano Paila spearheaded the development of a comprehensive sustainable urban mobility plan for Birendranagar Municipality (link to report), in partnership with Story Cycle, GD Labs, and Cycle City Network Nepal. This initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions and promote eco-friendly transportation solutions within the municipality. Furthermore, Sano Paila forged a strategic partnership with the Lalitpur Cycle Campaign, jointly advocating for and raising awareness about cycle-friendly policies and programs. This collaboration promotes sustainable urban lifestyles and encourages the adoption of environmentally conscious choices among Lalitpur Metropolitan’s residents.
Sano Paila is committed to empowering youth clubs and organizations dedicated to environmental sustainability. We provide foundational support for their environmental activism and ensure that all our programs and services adhere to stringent environmental protection guidelines and protocols. We believe that lasting environmental change begins with individual actions and community-level initiatives.
