Anti-trafficking and Violence against women
We have empowered dozens of socially vulnerable and economically deprived women from historically marginalized communities, including survivors of violence and human trafficking and women with disabilities.
The insidious grip of human trafficking and the devastating impact of violence against women demand unwavering action. At Sano Paila, through our dedicated Nepal Rescue Agency (NRA), a vital arm of the Sunischit Bhawisya program, we stand on the front lines of this fight. Our teams work tirelessly to identify, locate and rescue vulnerable children and young girls from the clutches of human traffickers, bringing them to safety and offering a chance at a life free from exploitation.
Beyond rescue, we are committed to holding perpetrators accountable. The NRA actively collaborates with government authorities, providing crucial intelligence and support to ensure the successful prosecution and imprisonment of criminals who prey on the innocent. Our efforts have been recognized by prominent national and international news outlets, highlighting the urgency and impact of our work (Link of the Nepali Times, The Guardian and Al Jazeera).
Our commitment extends to the countless women who have survived horrific acts of violence. Through our extensive networks, Sano Paila provides critical assistance to these brave survivors, ensuring they have access to justice and the support they need to rebuild their lives. We advocate fiercely on their behalf, providing essential legal support in cases of rape, sexual assault, trafficking and the deeply rooted injustices of dowry-related and witchcraft issues. We stand with them as they navigate complex legal systems, offering a voice where they may have been silenced and empowering them to seek the justice they deserve.
